I operate from my own high end/hybrid studio close to the centre of Manchester. On the border between Hulme and Old Trafford. I offer a wide range of services that include pre-production, tracking, writing, mixing and mastering
Pre Production: Quite possibly the most important part of the whole process. This entails going through song structures, instrumentation, arrangements and generally ensuring the songs are studio ready. Importantly this saves money on studio time and allows you to concentrate on the performance.
Production: The fun part! This can either take place in own personal studio or in another location. I have access to some great live spaces (big or small) that can provide that extra vibe to your recordings! My preference is to record drums in a large space and then move to my own personal studio to finish the recording. I have some of the best equipment racked and road ready, so I can capture a perfect sound at any location you desire. During production I can either record live to capture the essence of your band or record one instrument at a time. I’m experienced in both approaches and happy to tailor the method to your needs.
With more than 15 years experience in the industry I have the ability to help realise the artists vision for a track, along with a friendly and inviting approach to make the artist feel at ease.
Mixing: I offer an online mixing service. I usually invite the artist into my studio towards the end so they can add suggestions. However, I’m happy to send the files online and make any changes. Having mixed a large number of tracks over years from grime to hard rock I have a great understanding of the process. My studio is home to some great analogue equipment, including Neve, SSL, API, Shadow Hills. This helps to get a finished product on par with some of the world’s best studios.
